IMPORTANT: Bear repellent products should not be sold or rented to individuals under the age of 18, or to individuals not willing to complete this form. Bear Repellent products are registered under the Pest Control Products Act; it is illegal to use a pest control product without following label directions.

Please complete the following information in order to comply with the Pest Control Products Act of Canada, administered by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency of Health Canada.

WARNING:

Capsaicin sprays have proven effective in repelling aggressive bears only when sprayed directly in the eyes and nose, and should be used only as a last resort. Capsaicin sprays will not repel bears from treated objects or areas, and may result in increased investigation of sites by bears. Canisters should not be test fired in areas inhabited by bears. If a canister has been test fired, all residues of product should be washed from the canister nozzle and cap with soap and water before being transported to areas inhabited by bears. This product is sold/rented without warranty expressed or implied. No warranty or representation is made as to the ability of this product to protect the user from injury or death. The user assumes all risk when confronted by a bear. Remember, there is no guaranteed method of responding to a bear attack; each encounter is unique.

Terms and Conditions of Rental

• The rental FRONTIERSMAN® canister has been weighed in at ___________ grams. A new and sealed FRONTIERSMAN® canister has been weighed in at ___________ grams. I confirm the rental canister to be within 12 grams of the sealed canister.

• If I choose to use (discharge) the bear deterrent for any reason, and/or the returned weight of the canister is different by more than 12 grams, I agree to forfeit my deposit and the rental agreement will transfer to a sale of the canister.
